It's amazing how fast the time has gone. I feel like we just put away our Christmas decorations, but we're into the second quarter of the year. I have been wanting to create a blog, simply for our family and friends who live out of state. I am horrible at sending pictures, Mom & Dad will agree. So, I am looking forward to having a site everyone can visit and keep updated on our busy lives.
Phoebe will be 15 on the 22nd; She will be getting her learners permit. I am excited for her but a little nervous as well. She will have to learn to drive our "big green bus" (our family vehicle is a Suburban). I wish we had a small vehicle for her to practice with. I guess it is good for her, driving a car will be a breeze after learning on the Suburban. She is doing awesome in her first year in high school. She is ranked 30 out of 811 kids in her freshman class! She is staying active with her swimming. I'm glad she has found a sport that she truly enjoys. I think I'm looking forward to the days when she can drive herself to those late practices.
Victoria is excelling in all of her studies. She is enjoying Beta Club and chorus at school. She stays busy around the house playing with Madelynn and Colin. She loves her new computer that her Grandma bought her for Christmas, thanks Grandma!! She is really starting to mature; I can't believe she will be starting middle school next year!
Madelynn is enjoying her preschool. She loves her friends and her teachers. Victor and I decided to keep her at Newnan Presbyterian for kindergarten. They have a great program and I like the small school feel for her. This will enable her and Colin to remain together at the same school for another year. I only wish they had a k-12 program. She is excited about her upcoming birthday. I can't believe she is turning 5, what a big girl! She insists that we are going to have a "Chuck E. Cheese" birthday party. We will have to think about it.
Colin is talking so much now and plays well with his sisters. He really enjoys putting together those floor puzzles and he has the best time with them. He is loving Ms. Janet's 2-day class at Newnan Presbyterian. He cried for the first month of school, which broke my heart. I thought we may have made a mistake and put him in too early. Seven months later, he LOVES it. He asks for Ms. janet and Ms. Cindy every day. He is learning so much. He knows all of his colors and a bunch of his letters. He will go 3 days next year.
